Biography

Laura Georgianna is a senior lecturer in management and organizations and the executive director of leadership programs at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University. In her roles, she oversees the articulation of Johnson's perspective on leadership strategy and is involved in building leadership capability in the MBA community. Laura teaches a variety of leadership-related courses and development experiences and utilizes her executive coaching background to support the MBA development journey of students. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to working with leaders in various organizations to empower them to deliver results, grow their businesses, and achieve long-term goals. Prior to her current position, she worked at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations where she was involved in designing and teaching programs in intrapreneurial leadership for global companies. Additionally, she has served as a senior director for organizational capability development at Welch Allyn, Inc., where she led talent management and leadership development efforts. Her extensive experience also includes roles in executive education and organizational development at Merck & Co., and in account services leadership at Thomson Financial. Laura holds an MBA and MILR from Cornell University and a BA from the University of Rochester.
