Biography

Laura Lyons is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Western University and serves as a Clinical Team Lead and Addiction Medicine Specialist at St. Joseph’s Family Medical Centre. She holds the position of Deputy Physician Executive for Family Medicine at London Health Sciences Centre and acts as the Director of Family Medicine Obstetrics Citywide. Dr. Lyons also conducts research and frequently presents her findings at conferences, particularly on topics related to pregnancy complicated by psychosocial risks, mental health, and addictions. In recognition of her contributions, she received the Family Physician Year Award from the Ontario Medical Association in 2021.
