Biography

Laura R. Ment, M.D., is a Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at Yale University School of Medicine and serves as the Associate Dean for Admissions and Financial Aid. She earned her undergraduate degree from Brown University and a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Ment completed her pediatric residency and pediatric neurology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. Her research focuses on adaptive mechanisms of the developing brain and involves leading multicenter clinical studies on injury prevention in preterm neonates, exploring long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes, and utilizing advanced neuroimaging techniques to identify biomarkers for brain growth and maturation.
