Laura Petrella is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia, where she completed her Master of Science degree at McGill University in Canada in 2012 and obtained her PhD in 2019. Her PhD research focused on using a multidisciplinary, multi-scale approach to investigate the formation of high-grade gold mineralisation at the world-class Callie gold deposit in the Tanami region of Northern Territory, Australia. She has worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Exploration Targeting at UWA, applying her research to investigate the mechanisms of gold transport and deposition associated with high-grade gold accumulation in orogenic deposits. Her work contributes to a deeper understanding of high-grade gold systems to support mineral exploration. Currently, she is a Research Fellow at the John de Laeter Centre, working with the Geoscience Atom Probe (GAP) Facility at Curtin University.
Requirements are standardized across the Graduate School for most Master by Coursework programs at UWA.
