Biography

Laura Ramírez Elizondo is an associate professor at the research group DC Systems, Energy Conversion & Storage. She earned her Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Music, with a major in Piano from the University of Costa Rica in 2003. In 2007, she graduated cum laude with a Master of Science in Electrical Power Engineering from Delft University of Technology. Laura worked on her PhD project titled "Optimal Usage Multiple Energy Carriers Residential Systems" from September 2007 to December 2011. In 2013, she received the Erasmus Energy Science Award. Her research interests focus on DC and AC microgrids, multi-carrier energy systems, DC distribution networks, and the integration of renewable resources. She has expertise in Distribution Voltage Battery and Electrochemical Energy Engineering.
