Laura Tunbridge joined the Faculty of Music at the University of Oxford in 2014 as a Heather Professor of Music. Prior to her current role, she was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester and a Lecturer at the University of Reading. Her monographs include 'Schumann’s Late Style', 'Song Cycle', 'Singing Age Anxiety', and 'Beethoven: Life in Nine Pieces'. Currently, she is exploring mid-twentieth century ensembles in her ongoing research projects. In her teaching, she covers various subjects, including the representation of women in Richard Strauss's music, and she supervises dissertations on a range of topics related to music history and performance.
