Biography

Laurel Davis is the Environmental Health & Safety Manager at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, bringing with her 25 years of experience in environmental safety and health (ES&H). At Berkeley Lab, she leads a team of Industrial Hygienists and Safety Specialists to support a broad range of health and safety programs in research operations. Prior to her current role, Laurel worked as an Industrial Hygienist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and in various industries including airline, biotechnology, and chemical manufacturing. She is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including serving as past-president of the AIHA Northern California local section and currently as the Volunteer Coordinator representative for the California Industrial Hygiene Council (CIHC). Additionally, she has chaired the AIHA Noise Committee and is involved with the AIHA Laboratory Health and Safety Committee. Laurel also lectures at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health and has taught an Industrial Hygiene review course offered by the university. She is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and holds a Master of Public Health degree from UC Berkeley.
