Biography

Lauren Beaupre is a Professor in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta, specializing in Physical Therapy. She has a robust research background focusing on musculoskeletal patient populations, particularly in elderly patients dealing with hip fractures and joint arthroplasty. Her current research involves investigating recovery protocols for hip fracture patients, management strategies for osteoporosis, and outcomes related to total hip and knee arthroplasties. Beaupre also examines the recovery processes following complex fractures of long bones and the outcomes of shoulder surgeries. As a graduate supervisor, she is committed to mentoring students in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and contributing to advancements in rehabilitation practices for elderly populations.
