Biography

Lauren E. Borowski, MD, is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program at NYU Langone Health. With a deep passion for sports medicine and the performing arts, specifically dance, she discovered her calling during her freshman year at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Dr. Borowski specializes in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions in both athletes and non-athletes of all skill levels at NYU Langone’s Sports Medicine Center. Her training includes a Fellowship in Sports Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine and a Residency in Family Medicine at Wake Forest University. In 2020, she became the head team physician for the USA Men’s Ski Jumping Team and serves as the medical director for the Convent of Sacred Heart athletics department and Baruch College sports. Dr. Borowski's holistic approach to patient care addresses both medical and social issues, helping individuals maintain active lifestyles and recover from injuries. She holds board certifications from the American Board of Family Medicine for both Sports Medicine and Family Medicine.
