Dr. Lauren Destino

Biography

Lauren Destino, MD, serves as Clinical Professor in the Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine departments at Stanford University. She is the Associate Division Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine and co-Medical Director of Acute Care Case Management at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. Dr. Destino's involvement in research includes being a site co-investigator for the I-PASS study at Stanford and Principal Investigator for a PCORI grant aimed at improving patient safety experience through communication bundles. She has led numerous quality performance improvement initiatives related to trainee education and patient care in Hospital Medicine. Dr. Destino's areas of research interest focus on communication within care teams, encompassing both patients and families, as well as improving patient flow and implementing value-centered improvements. Her clinical focus is on Hospital Medicine, particularly specializing in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
