Biography

Lauren Faulkner Rossi completed her Ph.D. at Brown University in Rhode Island in 2009 and became an assistant professor of history at the University of Notre Dame in 2014. Her book, 'Wehrmacht Priests' (2015), investigates the motivations of German Catholic priests and seminarians who were conscripted into the military during World War II. In 2017, she co-edited 'Lessons and Legacies XII: New Directions in Holocaust Research and Education' with Wendy Lower. Currently, she is revising the fourth edition of Martin Kitchen's 'A History of Modern Germany,' which is expected to be published in 2022. Additionally, she is assisting Holocaust child survivors in writing their memoirs.
