Biography

Lauren H. Hampton is an Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) and earned her Ph.D. in Special Education from Vanderbilt University, along with a post-doctoral fellowship in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University. Dr. Hampton's research focuses on optimizing parent-mediated early interventions for young children with language communication delays, challenging behavior, and autism spectrum disorders. Her work emphasizes early identification of communication delays and autism characteristics. With extensive experience in various early intervention settings, she has worked as a behavior analyst, interventionist, parent coach, and teacher. Dr. Hampton is proficient in research methodology, including analysis of Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomized Trials (SMART designs), meta-analysis, and longitudinal modeling. She is currently accepting Ph.D. students to join her laboratory, which is dedicated to advancing knowledge in early childhood special education.
