Dr. Lauren Jeffries

Biography

Lauren Jeffries is a pediatrician and medical geneticist at the Yale Diagnostic Center of Excellence, which serves as a clinical site for the Undiagnosed Disease Network. She is a primary team member of the Pediatric Genomics Discovery Program at Yale Medicine, with expertise in clinical genetics. Dr. Jeffries completed her training in pediatrics in 2015 and in genetics in 2017. Her practice focuses on addressing specific interests in physical anomalies, birth defects, and inherited undiagnosed medical issues. She is involved in providing a clinical perspective to novel and emerging genetic diagnoses and contributes to research through publishing reports on previously discovered genetic conditions. As a clinical manager for her program, she coordinates participant-facing activities for research studies and offers genetic counseling to patients and their families, helping them understand the implications of genetic testing.
