Lauren Macreadie is a Scientia Fellow in the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales. Her research focuses on the investigation of porous materials to address key energy challenges related to hydrogen storage, transport, and generation. She completed her PhD at CSIRO and Monash University in 2016, where she worked on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for water splitting systems. Following her PhD, she conducted research at Trinity College Dublin and continued her work at CSIRO in Melbourne, focusing on MOFs and their applications in various fields including respiratory canisters for the Defense Science Technology group. In 2019, Lauren transitioned to Massey University in New Zealand as a Chemistry Lecturer. In 2020, she moved to the University of Sydney to further investigate functional MOF materials supported by her DECRA fellowship. In 2022, she returned to UNSW as a Scientia Senior Lecturer. Her work has garnered several awards, including the RACI Rita Cornforth Award and multiple ARC Linkage grants.
