Lauren Richardson is a Lecturer in the Department of International Relations at the Australian National University. She previously served as the Director of Studies and Lecturer at the Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy from 2018 to 2020, and also was the Director of the ANU Japan Institute from 2020 to 2022. She is currently completing a book manuscript entitled "Reshaping Japan-Korea Relations: Transnational Advocacy Networks and Politics of Redress." Dr. Richardson holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Asian Studies from Monash University and a Master’s in Political Science from Keio University in Tokyo, where she wrote her dissertation on Japan-ROK relations. Her PhD from ANU included a year of fieldwork in Japan and South Korea.
