Biography

Dr. Lauren Zarnett was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, before moving to Hamilton, Ontario. She earned her Bachelor of Health Sciences and Doctor of Medicine degrees at McMaster University. Dr. Zarnett pursued a neurosurgery residency at Western University in London, Ontario, where she utilized her mid-residency research period to obtain a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Clinical Research from Stanford University in California. After returning to London to complete her residency, she pursued a Neurotrauma fellowship at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Dr. Zarnett completed a fellowship in Complex Spinal Surgery, working with a combined orthopedic and neurosurgery spine team at Western University. She remained in London for a year as a staff neurosurgeon at the London Spine Centre before relocating to Regina in 2024. Dr. Zarnett practices general neurosurgery with a particular focus on traumatic brain and spine injuries, and she is committed to improving patient education and comprehension to support individualized care. In her work, she enjoys yoga, hiking, and spending time with her beloved pets.
