Biography

Laurie Barclay is a full professor and Lang Chair in Leadership at the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, University of Guelph. With a Ph.D. from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, she specializes in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources. Her extensive research focuses on creating, maintaining, and enhancing healthy workplaces, with particular attention to fairness, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) issues. Her articles have appeared in top-tier journals including the Academy of Management Annals and the Journal of Applied Psychology. Recognized for her research contributions, she has received numerous awards, including the Ontario Early Researcher Award and multiple Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council grants. An enthusiastic teacher and mentor, Laurie has also received several teaching awards and commendations, highlighting her commitment to students and their development. Currently, she serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Organizational Behavior. Her research interests include behavioral ethics, conflict management, and the dynamics of emotions and aggression in organizational settings.
