Dr. Laurie Edwards

Biography

Laurie Edwards is a licensed clinical psychologist and a yoga teacher specializing in various approaches to support individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction, depression, perfectionism, workaholism, burnout, and issues at different life stages, including religious trauma. She holds an Assistant Professor position at Yale School of Medicine, where she is involved in psychiatry. Her work encompasses research and clinical applications, particularly with a focus on forensic psychology and drug diversion programs. With a robust academic background, she received her PsyD from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2006, and her MS in Community Regional Development from the University of California, Davis, in 1999, followed by a BA in Sociology from the University of Dayton in 1992. Edwards is committed to providing comprehensive care through psychotherapy and educational training in substance abuse.
