Biography

LaVone Simmons is an Academic Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Washington. With a special focus in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, she is involved in managing complications in pregnancy, particularly diabetes and maternal medical diseases. Dr. Simmons completed her Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Washington in 2014 and her Residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology there in 2008. She holds a medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, which she obtained in 2004. Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology since 2010 and in Maternal-Fetal Medicine since 2018, she practices at the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic and participates in telemedicine services for UW Medicine. Passionate about women's health, Dr. Simmons is committed to improving outcomes for patients and enjoys a collaborative working environment with her colleagues at UW Medicine. Outside of her professional duties, she enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and spending quality time with her family.
