Biography

Le Christy Ying is a Research Fellow in the Department of Medicine at Monash University. She completed her PhD at Zhejiang University in 2018 and subsequently moved to the Hudson Institute of Medical Research in Australia, where she worked as a postdoctoral researcher from 2018 to 2023. Her main research interests focus on the tumor microenvironment, cancer immunology, and the key elements involved in interferon production and innate immunity. Ying has published more than 38 papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Nature, Communications, Oncoimmunology, Clinical & Translational Immunology, and Frontiers in Oncology, accumulating around 800 citations. In her academic role, she has co-supervised four Honours students and one PhD student. Over the years, she has received several prestigious awards, including the Hudson Science Innovation Seed Award, the Harold Mitchell Fellowship, and the Australia-Japan Medical Research Travel Grant. Her expertise aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in education and academic qualification with degrees in Tea Science, Horticulture, and Applied Biological Science from Zhejiang University.
