Dr. Leah Gose

Biography

Leah E. Gose is a postdoctoral scholar at USC Dornsife and will become an assistant professor in sociology in Fall 2026. Her research focuses on community nonprofit organizations, civic organizations, poverty, and social inequality. She is currently writing a book that explores the role food pantries and charitable food organizations play in civic engagement, community understanding, and building relationships among neighbors. Additionally, Leah has published work on grassroots resistance groups that emerged during the 2016 election.
