Dr. Leah Whittington

Biography

Leah Whittington is a Professor of English at Harvard University, where she also serves as the Director of Undergraduate Studies. Her academic focus is on Early Modern English Literature, particularly examining the Classical Tradition Reception, the Continental Renaissance, Neo-Latin literature, and the works of John Milton. Whittington has published several notable works including 'Renaissance Suppliants' with Oxford University Press in 2016 and various influential essays in prominent academic journals such as 'Milton Studies' and 'Modern Philology'. She is currently engaged in graduate student advising and is known for her commitment to developing undergraduate curricula. Whittington earned her B.A. from Harvard University in 2002 and completed her Ph.D. at Princeton University in 2011, reflecting her deep-rooted engagement in the study of literature from the Renaissance period.
