Dr. Lee Cerling

Biography

Lee Russell Cerling is an Associate Professor at USC Marshall, specializing in Clinical Business Communication. He has taught main undergraduate courses such as BUAD 302 and WRIT 340, and has coordinated a series of communication classes for doctoral students. Cerling’s classes are known for revolving around books and readings that address current issues, which change from year to year. Key topics of focus include the industrial food system, the water crisis in the United States, the financial crisis, and the debt ceiling crisis. He has become one of Marshall’s leaders in ethics instruction, developing and teaching ethics seminars in accounting courses and revising Marshall’s Ethics in Professional Communication undergraduate elective. Over the years, Cerling has made numerous contributions to service, including serving as the faculty advisor for student case competitions.
