Lei Feng is an Associate Professor in the Mechatronics Embedded Control Systems division, Department of Machine Design at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University in Xi’an, China, in 1998 and 2001, respectively, and his Ph.D. from the Systems Control Group in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, Canada, in 2007. His main research interests are in formal methods, verification, control synthesis, cyber-physical systems, modeling, analysis, optimization, embedded system architectures, energy management control for mechatronic systems, autonomous driving, trustworthy edge computing systems, and novel mechatronic systems enabled by 3D/4D printing. He has been the principal investigator and co-principal investigator on national and international research projects funded by VINNOVA, the Swedish Research Council, the Swedish Electromobility Center, and the European Commission. He holds a patent and has published more than 30 articles in prestigious scientific journals such as IEEE Transactions and Elsevier. He has received Paper Awards at international conferences and holds a Visiting Professor position at the National 111 Project Base at Xidian University, Xi’an, China, with regular research collaborations with Beijing Institute of Technology and Shanghai Jiaotong University. He has supervised four PhD students who have graduated and is currently supervising eight PhD students.
