Biography

Lei Feng is an associate professor in the Mechatronics Embedded Control Systems division at the Department of Machine Design, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 1998 and 2001 respectively, and his Ph.D. degree from the Systems Control Group at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, Canada, in 2007. His main research interests include formal methods, verification, control synthesis, cyber-physical systems, modeling, analysis, optimization of embedded system architectures, energy management control in mechatronic systems, autonomous driving, and trustworthy edge computing systems applications. He has published more than 30 referred journal articles in prestigious scientific journals such as IEEE Transactions and Elsevier, and has received paper awards at international conferences. In addition to his academic roles, he has held a visiting professor position at Xidian University, Xi’an, China, and has supervised multiple PhD students while collaborating with various institutions. His research also explores novel mechatronic systems enabled by 3D/4D printing.
