Biography

Lei Sun studied Mathematics at Fudan University for his undergraduate degree and obtained his PhD in Statistics from the University of Chicago in 2001. His research focuses on statistical genetics and genomics, developing statistical methods and computational tools to solve problems arising from genetic studies of complex human traits. He has received funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
