Dr. Len Seymour

Biography

Len Seymour is a prominent figure in the field of Gene Therapies and serves as the Director of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Oxford. He is the Founding President of the British Society of Gene and Cell Therapy and holds several influential positions including Secretary of the European Society of Gene Cell Therapy and an Executive Council Member of the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy. Len chairs the Scientific Advisory Boards of both the Chronic Granulomatous Disorder Research Trust and the Muscular Dystrophy Consortium. He also plays a pivotal role in education as the Course Director of the part-time MSc in Experimental Translational Therapeutics, which is offered by the Department in conjunction with the Department of Continuing Education. His research focuses on designing and developing innovative cancer-killing viruses and oncolytic vaccines. Len has significantly contributed to advancing cancer treatments and is recognized for his collaboration with various research groups in the field.
