Biography

Lena Mamykina is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University. Her academic background includes a B.S. in Computer Science from Ukrainian State University of Maritime Technology, an M.S. in Human Computer Interaction, and a Ph.D. in Human-Centered Computing from Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as an M.A. in Biomedical Informatics from Columbia University. Her dissertation work focused on enhancing reflection and learning in diabetes management through mobile and ubiquitous computing.
