Leni graduated from the University of Waterloo's School of Pharmacy in 2015, earning an entry-to-practice PharmD designation. Leni has worked in various community settings including retail pharmacies and Family Health Teams, as well as at an outpatient endocrinology clinic. Mentorship has been a significant focus throughout Leni's career. From 2017 to 2020, Leni served as a PACE (Practice Assessment Competency Entry) Assessor Coach, appointed by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP). In 2019, Leni became a Quality Assurance Coach Assessor for the OCP, and in 2020, Leni earned certification as a Diabetes Educator. As a Clinical Preceptor, Leni enjoys mentoring numerous students through co-op placements and patient care rotations. In 2023, Leni assumed the role of Regional Clinical Coordinator for the London/Rural region and has been fortunate to receive mentorship from co-RCC Rose Patodia as part of the Women in Pharmacy Leadership Mentorship Program. Leni is committed to advancing inclusive health care, particularly in the area of 2SLGBTQIA+ health, with a focus on recognizing diversity and implementing changes in practice to promote equity. Leni's advocacy efforts include contributions to Ontario Health’s Quality Standards on Gender Affirming Care and involvement in the OCP’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives, as well as serving as a board member for local non-profits aimed at developing safe spaces for the rainbow community.
