Biography

Dr. Litvak is currently serving as the Vice President of Neuroengineering at Medtronic. His research focuses on closed-loop neuromodulation, applying spinal cord stimulation (SCS), deep brain stimulation (DBS), and pelvic health therapies. Prior to his current role, Dr. Litvak was the Senior Director of Research Technology at Advanced Bionics. He is a recipient of the John Abele Science Technology Award from Boston Scientific for his work in developing a novel stimulation strategy for cochlear implants, which has been commercialized as Fidelity 120 by Advanced Bionics. Dr. Litvak has developed an algorithm that aids cochlear implant recipients in hearing noise via ClearVoice, which passed a superiority trial within the industry. He graduated from the Health Science Technology (HST) program at MIT/Harvard Medical School and holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rice University, as well as a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BA in Applied Mathematics.
