Biography

Leon Fisher is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist with a special interest in interventional endoscopy, including ERCP, and diseases of the pancreas and biliary tree. He is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Monash University and holds the position of Head of Endoscopy at Peninsula Health, where he provides diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology services to the South Eastern and Bayside communities of Melbourne. Dr. Fisher completed dedicated postgraduate fellowships in Interventional Endoscopy and has extensive training, performing hundreds of advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures each year. He is actively involved in clinical research and postgraduate training and regularly participates in national and international meetings. His research interests encompass general gastroenterology, diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and the management of large polyps through endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), as well as ERCP and EUS.
