Biography

Léon Probst is a PhD student at the University of Italian Switzerland (USI) in Lugano, focusing on mathematical philosophical logic and the philosophy of logic and mathematics. His PhD project, supervised by Professors Giordani and V. Halbach, explores topics such as arithmetization, metamathematics, and sources of intensionality, particularly in relation to Gödel's incompleteness theorem. Probst is currently working on arbitrary objects within this field of study. His research is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation's Doc.CH Grant 227030. He earned his master's degree from the University of Italian Switzerland in 2022 and his bachelor's degree from the University of Geneva in 2020.
