Biography

Leonard Jensen received a B.S. from Temple University and earned his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1977. Upon graduation, he joined Penn Dental Medicine as a Clinical Associate in Restorative Dentistry in 1985. In 2007, Dr. Jensen returned to Penn Dental Medicine, where he serves as an Assistant Professor, teaching within the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences. He previously served as the PCU Group Leader and was the PCU Dental Director at Community Dental Care Centers, overseeing clinical instruction for students in community settings. Currently, Dr. Jensen is a part-time Clinical Associate Professor at Penn Dental Medicine. He has served on the Ethical Review Board at the University of Pennsylvania since 2018, and held the title of Adjunct Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Chestnut Hill College from 2010 to 2016. Throughout his career, he has been involved in clinical and educational roles within the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences and was awarded the Appleton Award for Excellence in Part-time Clinical Teaching in 1982.
