Biography

Len Lindoy is an Emeritus Professor in the School of Chemistry at the University of Sydney. He obtained his PhD in 1968 and DSc in 1986 from the University of New South Wales. Following a post-doctoral position at Ohio State University under Professor D. H. Busch, he joined James Cook University as a lecturer from 1970 to 1996, later moving to Sydney as Chair of Inorganic Chemistry. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and has received several honorary doctorates from universities in Australia and the UK. Lindoy has authored or co-authored approximately 400 research papers, patents, and monographs, focusing on metallosupramolecular chemistry, host-guest chemistry, and the design and properties of nanomaterials. He continues to conduct full-time research at Sydney, collaborating internationally on various research projects in Europe and Asia. He has also been recognized with several awards for research excellence, including gold medals and honorary fellowships from prominent scientific institutions.
