Leonid Pastur graduated from Kharkiv Technical University in Ukraine and obtained his Candidate Doctor of Science degree from the Institute of Low Temperature Physics and Engineering in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He has held various research positions, including junior research fellow and senior research fellow, as well as administrative roles such as head of department and deputy director. He has held professorships at the University Denis Diderot in Paris and the University of Wales Swansea in the UK. Additionally, he is a member of the National Academy of Sciences in Ukraine. Since February 2023, he has been with the Mathematics Department at King's College London as a Senior Research Fellow. In 2025, Leonid will be awarded the Senior Whitehead Prize by the London Mathematical Society for his contributions to the field. His research interests are centered in Spectral Theory, Mathematical Physics, Disordered Systems, Anderson Localization, Random Matrix Theory, Statistical Mechanics, and Quantum Information Theory, with specific applications in Disordered Systems.
