Les Field is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He previously served as the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Senior Vice-President of UNSW from February 2016 to December 2017. His research interests focus on organometallic chemistry, catalysis, and NMR spectroscopy, with more than 200 scientific papers and four textbooks to his name. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Organic Chemistry Medal from the Royal Australian Chemical Institute in 1994 and is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science.
