Lesley Choyce is a University Teaching Fellow in the Department of English at Dalhousie University. Over the years, he has contributed significantly to the literary community, especially by fostering the works of Black and Mi’kmaq writers. Choyce is known for engaging presentations and workshops across Canada and internationally, including performances at the Vancouver World’s Fair and events hosted by the Canadian Consulate in Tokyo. Currently, he teaches the Transition Year Program at Dalhousie, focusing on supporting Black and Mi’kmaq students to excel in their academic pursuits. He continues to write, publish, and mentor young writers, affirming his commitment to literature and education.
