Biography

After celebrating 34 years as an internationally celebrated member of the St. Lawrence String Quartet, Lesley Robertson continues to contribute to Stanford University as an Artist-in-Residence. She teaches viola and coaches chamber music, while directing the Emerging String Quartet Program during the annual St. Lawrence Chamber Music Seminar. Holding degrees from Curtis Institute, Juilliard School, and University of British Columbia, Ms. Robertson has a rich performance history and has toured worldwide. She is a founding member of the St. Lawrence String Quartet and has participated in numerous festivals, nurturing close ties with the Stanford community. In addition to teaching, she has served as a juror for various prestigious international competitions and has been involved in professional education at institutions like Yale and the New World Symphony.
