Biography

Leslie B. Cohen is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. He received his Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Cohen's primary research interests include perception, memory, and cognition in infants. His work has significantly contributed to the understanding of how infants process and integrate visual and auditory information in their environment. He founded the Infant Cognition Laboratory, where he developed various research projects using the visual habituation paradigm. Dr. Cohen has published extensively on topics such as infant perception and cognition and has served as the founding editor of the journal Infancy. He was elected President of the International Society on Infant Studies from 2006 to 2008 and has received recognition for his contributions to the field of developmental psychology.
