Biography

Leslie Nelson grew up in Oregon, WI. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University in 2018. After completing her internship in general surgery, she pursued a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. Following her residency, she returned to the University of Wisconsin to complete an Abdominal Imaging Intervention fellowship. Dr. Nelson joined the Abdominal Imaging Intervention section as an assistant professor in 2024. Her professional interests include ultrasound and CT-guided biopsies, as well as gynecologic and hepatic imaging.
