Leszek Majewski is a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Manchester. He obtained his MSc degree in biophysics from Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Poland, focused on Light Harvesting Complexes in higher green plants. After fulfilling his compulsory military duties, he joined the University of Sheffield in 2002, where he started his PhD studies under the supervision of Dr. Martin Grell, earning his PhD in 2005. His research primarily involves the development of alternative dielectrics for low-voltage organic field-effect transistors (OFETs), focusing on high-k/low-k dielectric systems and organic/inorganic nanocomposites. He joined the University of Manchester in 2005 as a Research Associate, studying high-speed planar organic rectifiers and transistors. By 2012, he was promoted to lecturer and has since taken a lead role in supervising PhD students on various projects. His research interests encompass physics engineering of organic, inorganic, and hybrid electronic materials and devices, novel fabrication techniques, and the characterization and optimization of new electronic materials. Leszek is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and holds memberships in several professional organizations including the American Chemical Society and the Materials Research Society.
