Biography

Leticia Ferreira Cabido obtained her dental degree from the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil, in 2006, completing her residency in Oral Maxillofacial Pathology and a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M Health Science Center in 2011. Cabido achieved fellowship status in the American Academy of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology in 2011 and received the prestigious Shafer Award for scoring the highest on the fellowship examination. She became a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology in September 2011. Cabido served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in early 2012 before joining the University of the Pacific, Arthur Dugoni College of Dentistry in July 2014, where she engaged in teaching and administration in oral pathology and was awarded the Pacific Dental Helix Curriculum Innovation Award. Cabido later worked at the University of Louisville, involved in clinical training and care of patients, and is currently a member of the Nomination Committee of the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology, as well as serving in an oral pathology section of the American Dental Education Association. Her research interests include foreign body gingivitis and innovative technologies in dental education.
