Leticia Algarves Miranda obtained her undergraduate dental degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 1995. Currently, she is the Discipline Lead for Periodontics and Oral Implantology at the University of Western Australia Dental School and serves as Program Convenor for the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontics. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Leticia's interests lie in oral immunology, inflammation, connective tissue, and bone biology, with a passion for merging her biomedical research with practical clinical Periodontology.
