Biography

Dr. Leticia Moczygemba is a Professor at the University of Texas College of Pharmacy, focusing on health outcomes research. Her research program aims to work with communities and health systems to mitigate health disparities by developing innovative, patient-centered interventions that optimize medication use and improve health outcomes. She employs a community-engaged research approach, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative techniques in program evaluation and quality improvement sciences. Over the past 17 years, she has collaborated with various health systems, community partners, and federally-qualified health centers in Texas, Virginia, and Florida to develop and assess multi-level interventions targeting underserved populations including individuals experiencing homelessness and low-income adults. Currently, she is the Principal Investigator on a five-year, AHRQ-funded grant that tests a community-based mHealth intervention. Dr. Moczygemba has also been an active member in national pharmacy organizations, serving on multiple committees and is recognized as an APhA Fellow and NIH mHealth Scholar. Her academic training includes a Pharm.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
