Biography

Lewis Ross received a law degree from the University of Glasgow and subsequently completed a PhD in philosophy at the University of St Andrews. He joined the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) as a postdoctoral fellow in philosophy in 2019 and has since become an Associate Professor. Ross currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Philosophy, Natural and Social Science (CPNSS). His research primarily focuses on the intersections of philosophy and law, political philosophy, and epistemology, particularly concerning how citizens engage with legal institutions. His recent work addresses issues in criminal justice, including the reintegration of ex-offenders, jury science, and mental capacity, alongside evidence law.
