Biography

Lewis D. Sargentich is a Professor at Harvard Law School, having joined the faculty in 1973. He became a full professor in 1979. Sargentich teaches courses in Torts and jurisprudence legal theory. He completed his undergraduate studies at Occidental College and continued his education as a Marshall Scholar at the University of Sussex in England. Sargentich holds a law degree from Harvard Law School, where he graduated summa cum laude. He studied under Robert Keeton, who taught the Torts course. Notably, Sargentich’s academic work includes a notable Note titled 'The Amendment Overbreadth Doctrine,' published in the Harvard Law Review. He has served as a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. Additionally, Sargentich was a co-editor of 'Tort Accident Law: Cases Materials' and authored 'Liberal Legality: Unified Theory Law' in 2018.
