Biography

Lewis Seifert is a Professor of French in the Department of French Studies at Brown University, where he has taught since 1989. He holds a DEA from Université de Paris III (1986) and a PhD from the University of Michigan (1989). His research interests focus primarily on 17th-century French literature, with a particular emphasis on cultural studies, gender and sexuality studies, and folk and fairy-tale studies.
