Biography

Li-Chen Lin is a Clinical Associate Professor in Adult Health Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in nursing work environments, resilience, role transitions, and healthcare quality and safety. Her current research examines resilience among nurses working in long-term care rehabilitation settings, as well as the impact of demographics and professional quality of life on sleep quality and resilience. Alongside her research interests, she is actively engaged in teaching and continues to work as a staff nurse in an acute rehabilitation unit, providing direct patient care. This practical experience gives her insight into the work experiences of nurses. Dr. Lin is also involved with the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses. She has been recognized for her contributions to the university, receiving the Dean's Faculty Service Award in 2013 and 2018, in addition to the Dean's Faculty Research Award in 2015.
