Dr. Li Ping Chen

Biography

Li-Ping Chen is a Visiting Scholar at the University of Southern California, specializing in areas related to colonial legacy and nativist literature. She has a rich academic background, having earned her M.A. from National Taiwan Normal University and her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California. Her research interests delve into diaspora history within Sinophone, inter-Asian, and transpacific contexts, exploring the interconnectedness of these regions and their literary outputs. She engages with a variety of themes that reflect historical and contemporary issues faced by displaced communities and the cultural ramifications of colonial histories.
