Biography

Liam D. Connor is an astrophysicist and radio astronomer, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Astronomy at Harvard University since 2024. His research primarily focuses on Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs), which are a mysterious new class of extragalactic transients. He is interested in the application of cosmology and physical origins related to these phenomena. Additionally, he develops large radio telescopes and builds tools that intersect artificial intelligence and astronomy. Prior to his position at Harvard, he was a Tolman Prize Fellow at the California Institute of Technology from 2020 to 2024. He conducted research at the University of Amsterdam/Astron and completed his undergraduate studies at McGill University. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, where he worked under Professors Ue-Li Pen and Keith Vanderlinde.
